So my area had over 300 lay offs on Friday, I was one of them. But my boss decided that in true asshole fashion, he needed to power play the situation. He offered me two options:
1. Resign in two weeks
2. Take a demotion to the job I started at
Here's the thing. If I resign, I don't get unemployment protection. So not only is he taking away my stream of income, but he's trying to block my ability to collect on unemployment, which I've paid into for almost 4 years. I'm forced with a decision: I can resign, find another job and move on until April when I was planning on quitting anyway. I can take the demotion and work until I find another job where my blood lust isn't as apparent. Or I can try to get fired so I can get unemployment while I look for part time work.
Oh, and he actually said that he "wasn't trying to squeeze me out..." while he was squeezing me out. The audacity was palpable. This is a man that has driven his district into the ground while I've only seen profit in my product line. I'll get back to this at a later time...
More importantly, who wants to party?
